POD

(Jazz/World Music Fusion Project)
The music of POD fuses elements of jazz, world music and Irish music, to create a fresh soundscape of musical textures and grooves. This group is comprised of an international line-up of some of the most highly respected musicians working in Ireland today and also regularly features guest artists from at home and abroad.

The core group line-up is:
Paul O Donnell – Ireland (composer-leader- keyboardist)
Niwel Tsumbu – Africa  (guitar-percussion-vocals)
Eamonn Cagney – Ireland (percussion)
Peter Erdei  – Hungary (bass)
Shane O Donovan – Ireland (drums)

Guest musicians have included:  Oleg Ponomarev – Russia (violin) ,
 Dylan Gully – Brittany (clarinet),
Mel Mercier  – Ireland (bones and bodhran)
